Alexa DeGennaro is a marketing professional working in international television in Los Angeles. Combining her passions for education, mentoring and writing, since 2014 she has helped students brainstorm, reframe and fine-tune their admissions essays. She is a freelance college admissions essay consultant, working as a Senior Advisor with College Essay Advisors, in addition to selectively taking on private clients. Alexa is a mentor with WriteGirl, where she helps contribute to the organization’s 100% success rate in getting girls into college.
She also writes YA fiction under the name Alexa Donne. Her debut YA novel, BRIGHTLY BURNING, will be published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in May 2018.
